A park has been landscaped in the historical part of St. Petersburg according to a project developed by students of the Institute of Spatial Environment Design at SPbSUITD. The square was opened at the intersection of Nekrasov and Mayakovsky Streets near gymnasium No. 171. The initiators were local residents who contacted the administration, who eventually were involved in discussing the concept along with gymnasium students.
Hot on the heels of the Print Park round table "Does the printing industry need human resources?" The University of Industrial Technologies and Design hosted a traditional Career Day organized by the Higher School of Printing and Media Technologies of SPbSUITD.
Scientists at the SPbSUITD have developed a technology for cleaning office waste paper from toner, which involves the inclusion of a stage of "dry" paper dispersion, that is, separating it into separate fibers before removing the ink. This makes it possible to achieve a more thorough cleaning of waste paper from traces of printing with a laser printer. The technology not only improves the quality of paper or cardboard obtained from recycled materials, but also reduces the amount of chemicals used to clean waste paper, as well as reduces the amount of water and energy resources, which makes the new method more economical and environmentally friendly.
